On Friday, July 4th, a new step was taken in securing the facilities of the batteries laboratory at EDF Lab les Renardières. The Li-ion Tamer gas detection system was officially inaugurated by Bernard Salha, Director of R&D, and Jean-Daniel Gounon, General Manager at Honeywell. This innovative technology enables to anticipate the risks of thermal runaway in lithium-ion batteries, thus renforcing the safety of tests carried out within the laboratory.
