THE TRAINING INSTITUTE (ITECH)
The Institute for Technology Transfer (ITech) is a training organisation led by EDF's R&D division. Since 1998, the organisation’s goal has been to share practices, expertise, and innovations produced by EDF's research and development work.
RECOGNISED TRAINERS
Based on the EDF R&D Division’s skills, expertise, and know-how, the ITech training courses are designed and led by research engineers who are well-known in their fields of expertise. In their professional work, they alternate between theory and practice. Their day-to-day relationships with EDF's various operational units allow them to adapt and enrich their skills and, as a consequence, the content of the courses they propose.

Thanks to its location within the Paris-Saclay innovation and research hub, the Institute benefits from an array of new and innovative teaching facilities and some dynamic partnerships in the training and research sectors.
TRAINING THAT COMBINES THEORY AND PRACTICE
Interactive sequences are developed in each course, where exercises, case studies, and practical work (digital simulations or experiments on test benches) help verify phenomena and concepts, and solidify learning. Along the same lines, lab visits are organised each time the course subject lends itself to this and digital tools are integrated.
This year, 2 training courses have been integrated :
- Fire science and the use of MAGIC code
- CAD Sharper modue on SALOME platform
Particularly, the training courses " Integration of renewable energies" and "Value creation in innovative projects" are still renewed.
