A special feature of Sowee is that it works like a hub, allowing you to control your gas central heating remotely. Users can select their ideal temperature or adjust their consumption to suit a pre-defined budget. The hub offers three optimal temperatures, ranging from 15°C to 25°C, depending on the period of the day, as well as an « Away » setting, to avoid wasting energy.
And that’s not all: Sowee provides many other features such as weather forecasts, journey planning, humidity and CO2 readings, and you can communicate using emoticons when operating the system remotely... And soon, Sowee will also be able to control the energy production of your photovoltaic panels and the charging of your electric car. This means that it will drive the development of self-generated power and renewable energy solutions.
The product has been on the market since the end of 2016 and EDF aims to install it in a million homes over the next 10 years.
