Urban modelling tool: supporting the urban energy transition

  • Partager cette page par email

In order to build sustainable city ecosystems and support local authorities in their approach, EDF has developed an innovative platform that simulates their development policy over the long term. The tool leverages EDF’s integrated approach to the city – spanning every sector, from energy to transport, air quality, civil engineering projects and water and waste management. Thus, the tool gives planners the needed information to achieve their key indicator goals on issues like GHG emissions, energy, quality of life and cost.

Decision makers can use the tool to move around a 3D virtual model of their city, implement the chosen measures (e.g. introducing distributed production units or more efficient equipment), run a simulation and receive a detailed assessment of their scenarios in just a few minutes.
