During the opening day of the World Nuclear Exhibition (WNE) 2025 in Paris, EDF announced the signing of cooperation agreements with industrial partners highlighting the importance of building an integrated, standardised, and diversified value chain.
On this day, industrial cooperation agreements with Dutch industry partners, including DEME Offshore NL, Mammoet, and Haskoning, were signed in the presence of EDF Chairman and CEO Bernard Fontana. Through these collaborations, EDF aims to position itself as a trusted partner for the Dutch new nuclear market, by relying on the country’s industrial expertise and capacity. Through close cooperation with leading Dutch companies, EDF seeks to strengthen Europe’s integrated nuclear supply chain and enhance its ability to competitively deliver its new build projects in the coming decades.
As part of this ongoing momentum, NUWARD, EDF’s subsidiary dedicated to developing the NUWARD SMR, signed a memorandum of understanding with the Italian-based company MAIRE. This agreement establishes the framework for exploring cooperation between NUWARD and MAIRE, in particular regarding the NUWARD SMR programme structuring, projects delivery and modularity.
