EDF Pulse Pilot

EDF Pulse Pilot is the EDF Group's tool for financing industrial demonstrators in partnership with innovation ecosystem players, in order to de-risk technologies that are not yet mature.

By connecting the EDF Group with industries, startups, investors and public funds, EDF Pulse Pilot accelerates innovation in service of the energy and ecological transition.

Which projects are funded and supported by EDF Pulse Pilot?

EDF Pulse Pilot offers bespoke support to innovative industrial projects meeting the following three criteria:

  • Technical solutions addressing a strong business need for the EDF Group
  • With external market potential capable of creating economic value for the Group
  • Technologies that have not yet crossed the final stage of industrialisation and commercialisation (TRL 6/7)

EDF co-owns all test results and studies with its partners. EDF Pulse Pilot negotiates preferential deployment conditions within the Group's business units, a shareholding at advantageous rates for EDF Pulse Ventures and/or a co-signed patent and/or royalties for the Group and/or entry into the EDF Pulse Incubation once the technical solution is de-risked.
