A group such as EDF is expected to actively seek solutions to environmental and social issues. The action of the Foundation is a unique way of expressing this intention and responsibility.

Towards a more sustainable world for future generations
The EDF Group Foundation is the Group’s main philanthropic tool. It supports non-profit public interest projects initiated by civil society through financing, employee engagement (volunteering, skills-based volunteering) and the production of cultural exhibitions. By deploying its action in France and internationally as part of a multi-annual action programme, the EDF Group Foundation is at the heart of constructive exchanges between the EDF Group, its employees, and civil society.
For its seventh mandate, the Foundation has defined three major campaigns based on shared diagnoses: “Let’s change for the sake of future generations” – “Let’s act in favour of inclusive territories” – “Let’s channel our energies”. The imperative wording reflects the Foundation’s desire to support projects with a genuine impact on civil society and to promote the active involvement of EDF employees.
The Espace Fondation EDF, a unique cultural centre with free admission for all
Located in a former electrical substation built in 1910 in Paris, the Espace Fondation EDF has received over 1.2 million visitors since its opening in 1990. The EDF Group Foundation organises temporary exhibitions, conferences, debates and school workshops, with a view to offering a better understanding of the world and exploring tomorrow’s world, by decompartmentalising the worlds of culture, the environment and science.
