Véronique Lacour (Group Executive Director - Transformation and Operational Efficiency) and the Group Procurement Division reaffirmed EDF's commitment to inclusion in purchasing on October 16, 2023, alongside other major French companies.

This commitment was formalized when Véronique Lacour signed the Manifesto of the Business Collective during the second edition of the Inclusive Procurement Forum at the Cité Universitaire in Paris. By committing to increase its inclusive procurement by 30% by 2025, EDF is joining forces with other major groups in this ambitious initiative.

The Collective, which brings together nearly 40 companies and more than 1.5 million employees at 60,000 sites in France, firmly believes in the essential role of businesses in strengthening social ties and economic integration. Its actions focus on improving youth employment, combating precariousness, and developing inclusive purchasing.

At the forum, EDF presented its "solidarity purchasing speed meeting" initiative, which facilitated meetings between players in the traditional sector and those in the protected sector, creating opportunities for co-contracting for large tenders.

Thanks to this initiative, EDF has succeeded in signing 100% of its customer relations contracts with co-contracting groups, aiming to integrate up to 119 workers with disabilities into the outsourced customer relations market by 2024.

Accelerating the development of inclusive procurement is a priority of EDF's CSR strategy, and the Business Collective will closely monitor the progress of these initiatives.

What exactly is an inclusive purchase?

An inclusive purchase is a purchase made by a private or public organization from an inclusive organization. These organizations are considered inclusive because they promote the return to employment and integration through work of people who are distant from the job market or have disabilities. Using these responsible organizations directly contributes to the CSR policy of organizations.
