2018 Selection: the importance of user benefit
As in previous editions, some 40 experts will be in charge of evaluating all applications in order to select the best startup. Depending on their area of expertise, they will meet in specific committees to select the candidates in each of the 4 categories:
- Smart Home, home comfort and safety
- Smart Business, operational, environmental and social performance of businesses
- Smart City, development of the cities and territories of tomorrow
- Smart Health & Self, well-being and fulfilment, for all people at all stages of life
And these experts already have a well-defined idea of what they want to see. For example, Alain Horvais (Kurma Partners) - an expert in the Smart Health & Self category - says he is looking for "startups offering a business model with an international focus".
And Mathieu de la Rochefoucauld (Supernova Invest) - EDF Pulse expert for the Smart City category – adds: "We are looking for startups with projects that will make life easier for users".
Future winners, now you know what is expected of you. It's over to you!
