On this platform, EDF leads a consortium of French smart grid and smart city companies. The MASERA demonstrator incorporates a range of innovative solutions:

  • 50 kW of bifacial photovoltaic panels,
  • A lithium-ion energy storage system supplied by Socomec,
  • An economical and environmentally friendly zinc-air battery developed by Zinium, an EDF spin-off,
  • A Nissan Leaf electric vehicle and a V2G (Vehicle-to-Grid) charger supplied by NUVVE,
  • A residential load system simulating the consumption patterns of typical customers,
  • A fully EDF-developed local and remote control system enabling standardised communications and production optimisation,
  • A reliable and secure smart metering system backed by Enedis’ expertise.
