EDF Pulse Africa Tour, incubating talent since 2019

In order to better target innovators operating within the African energy panorama, the EDF Group launched for the 3rd edition of the competition in 2019, the EDF Pulse Africa Tour, a tour aimed at mobilizing the African innovation ecosystem and offering opportunities to local start-ups, highlighting projects that have a positive impact on the African landscape.

For the first edition of the Tour in 2019, six African countries were honored as part of an event organized in each of the countries where the EDF Group is represented to ensure the adequacy between the nature of the projects, the needs of the local economic fabric and EDF's activities in the region. During the tour, candidates from Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Morocco, Senegal, South Africa and Togo were invited to defend their project in front of a jury of local experts. Participants had the opportunity to meet and exchange with entrepreneurs, energy sector experts, representatives of international organizations and local decision-makers. The focus was on "Energy at the heart of entrepreneurial innovation", with the aim of supporting Africa's economic and social development.
