Hynamics is a subsidiary of the EDF Group which has emerged from its EDF Pulse Incubation entrepreneurial programme.
Hynamics produces and markets low-carbon hydrogen produced by electrolysis of water, a technology that does not emit CO2 when the electricity is itself generated using low-carbon production methods.
As part of a partnership-based approach, it supports customers throughout the value chain with a turnkey solution:
- project design,
- financing/investment in infrastructure,
- construction,
- operation and maintenance.
EDF Pulse Ventures invested in the company in 2019.
Where the direct electrification of applications is still technologically difficult, if not impossible, or economically unviable, the use of low-carbon hydrogen can play a key role in achieving carbon neutrality. The Group has therefore launched a "Hydrogen Plan" to accelerate the decarbonisation of industry and heavy mobility using low-carbon hydrogen. Since 2019, Hynamics, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the EDF Group, has been responsible for the production and supply of 100% low-carbon electrolytic hydrogen in France and Europe.
