A fully immersive insight into the world of nuclear energy!
Step behind the scenes at Cattenom power station, which can generate up to 30 billion kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity each year – equivalent to nearly 70% of the Grand Est region’s electricity needs!
Your three-hour guided tour will begin with an informative talk explaining how a nuclear power station operates. Then, equipped with a hard hat and safety footwear, you will enter one of the four turbine halls, home to the turbo-generator units that drive electricity production.
Visitor information
After completing your pre-registration on this website, please send the following within 15 days to cattenom-visites@edf.fr for each participant:
- A copy of a valid form of ID (national identity card or passport)*
- A separate email address for each participant – required for French nationals aged 18 and over
* This ID must also be presented on the day of the visit. Please note: the five-year extension of French national identity cards is only valid if the document was still valid on 1 January 2014 and if the holder was over 18 at the time of issue.
** Due to enhanced security checks for access to nuclear facilities (excluding minors on the date of the visit), each participant must provide a social security number and a unique email address. Without this information, your registration cannot be processed.
