EDF Pulse Start-up Awards
Out of 400, 10 start-ups have crossed the finish line! The Grand Jury selected 3 winners and awarded 3 special mentions for projects standing out for the progress they offer. The Audience have also chosen their favourite during an online voting campaign. Finally, the Jury for the EDF Pulse special Award for Sport & Innovation, a nolvety in this 7th edition, awarded 1 prize and 2 special mentions.
Award winners receive a prize money ok € 30,000€ to € 80,000 depending on the Award. All winners will benefit from a marketing campaign to boost their visibility.

The machine that recycles plastic into fuel
Chrysalis creates a circular carbon economy! Developed by the Earthwake start-up, this machine uses pyrolysis technology to recycle plastic waste into petrol, diesel and gas. This intentionally low-tech solution is also mobile and energy self-sufficient.
The Grand Jury decided to honour 3 more projects by awarding the following special mentions "Social responsibility", "Ecology transition" and "Environmental impact". These mentions were given to the most noteworthy project in each thematic.
The app that supports local food and local producers
Encouraging short food supply chains and the local economy: that’s Le Chemin des Mûres’s mission. This start-up has developed an app for food producers and suppliers. Its aim: to facilitate and reduce transport costs by pooling deliveries.
The start-up that converts cars to electric in 4 hours
Transition-One converts the petrol and diesel engines of city cars and vans to electric in just 4 hours. Low carbon, efficient and affordable, this technology delivers a sustainable mobility transition solution for private motorists and fleet operators.
Sustainable recycling of wind turbine blades
Its patented technologies make this a timely solution for dismantling and recycling the composite materials contained in decommissioned wind turbine blades. The resulting glass and carbon fibres are reused by industry to promote a circular economy.
EDF launched it in collaboration with Paris 2024 to reward innovative solutions and services in the field of sport.

This 200-page book provides an overview of all the stages in the creation of a business.
EDF invests in PowerUp to enhance batteries' market
The PowerUp start-up has developed a solution to optimise the performance of lithium-ion batteries. The EDF Pulse Croissance and Supernova Invest corporate venture announced their acquisition of a stake in this CEA spin-off.
The 2019 “Best newcomer”, and finalist of the EDF Pulse start-up Awards, raised 2.1 million of euros with Sofimac in June 2020. Mob-Energy will finalise the R&D of its charging robot for electric vehicules and deploy it on public parking lot, as intended.
