An effective induction for getting your bearings

Every year, more than 3 000 of you join EDF worldwide.

We have a permanent cohort of 5 500 apprentices who we train in what we do, helping them to join the world of work.

A large number of them is going on to be recruited by EDF. We provide particularly close support during your first few months with the Group.

Support throughout your career, from your very first day

Your manager, the HR team in your department, as well as your colleagues, of course, are all there to support you when you first start. Support is also provided at key stages throughout your career, for training and career development in the short- and long-term.

From the moment you arrive at EDF and throughout your career, the Group is at hand to help you develop your skills and choose your next move, in terms of both your role and location... In short, we provide everything you need to be the agent of your own career development.

Stage 1: getting to know your department and your role

All of our companies regularly hold induction days for the year’s new starters. Training will also be made available to bring your academic knowledge up to speed with your role at EDF.

Additional support, delivered regionally and nationally, will help you to grasp our Group’s strategy, its history, and culture, as well as developing a medium-term vision for your career.

Lastly, every year an international event, 2days2gether, brings all of the Group’s managers with 3 years of experience together with the CEO and the Executive Committee.

There are a variety of opportunities to meet colleagues working in the same role in another location, and to learn about the range of roles and opportunities that come with a career at EDF.
