YOURS MISSIONS
As Codes & Standards and Accidental Qualification Technical Lead, you are a key contributor within the NUWARD technical team and part of the Codes & Standards unit.
You are responsible for structuring, implementing, and governing the project’s technical and regulatory framework, including:
- The Technical Normative Reference (RNT)
- Codification strategies (RCC‑M, ASME, etc.)
- Accidental qualification of nuclear equipment (MQCA) in connection with CADO catalogues
Your role is to ensure the consistency, robustness, and applicability of technical standards in a multi-code, export-driven environment, supporting both Basic Design and licensing activities.
Desired profile
📍The role is based in Lyon and requires occasional travel to NUWARD sites (Lyon, Paris, Tours) as well as to partner engineering organizations.
You will report to the Head of Safety and Licensing and will be responsible for managing Probabilistic Safety Assessment (PSA) activities.
PROFILE REQUIRED
You have solid experience in the following fields:
- Deep expertise in nuclear codes and standards (RCC‑M, ASME, RCC‑E, RCC‑CW, EN standards, CODAP…)
- Proven experience in accidental qualification of nuclear equipment
- Strong understanding of international regulatory frameworks (export context)
- Ability to structure and manage complex technical frameworks
- Strong leadership and cross-functional coordination skills Proven ability in project management and technical coordination
- Excellent analytical, synthesis, and communication skills

Education: Master’s degree (or equivalent) in mechanical, nuclear, or electrical engineering.
Experience: 15 to 20 years in nuclear engineering, including significant experience in codes & standards and/or equipment qualification.
Fluent English (written and spoken) is required.
