EDF Energy is creating the Connected Home of tomorrow to simplify energy management and make energy engaging for all family members. We call that the copilot! This services interface, which uses real-time visualisation of smart meter data, along with Alexa, creates a unique digital experience inside customers’ home.
With Alexa from Amazon, a voice interface, customers use voice to check their energy account balance, next payment due date, contract expiry date or submit a meter reading. They also can access many other internet services.
In addition, to make comparison of tariffs easy, the "Show me your bill" app allow consumers to find the best energy deal by just scanning their energy bill.
Finally, EDF Energy smart meters provide a consumption access device that displays real-time energy usage in a home and will help customers to better understand their energy usage consumption and budget.
To complete the connected home offer, Sunplug, a bespoke offer with solar PV and battery storage, is designed to help customers save money on energy bills by maximising the use of solar energy through an innovative storage battery and financing solutions with no upfront cost. The Sunplug product can be installed in less than one day and customers get instant benefits.
