The Gyrolift mobility solution enables the user to get around both seated and standing up. The secret? Combine a gyropod and a stabilised modular robotic seating system.

Designed to improve accessibility for people with reduced mobility in the workplace, Gyrolift increases freedom of movement thanks to its increased manoeuvrability. By providing automatic stabilisation and an intuitive control system, it helps keep users moving safely. In other words, this new means of locomotion has countless advantages: from physiological benefits (bone consolidation, reduction of pressure sores, improved blood circulation, etc.) to greater autonomy and better social interaction. Here is a (mobility) business on the move, a step forward in supporting users and getting them back into work!

The team

The Gyrolift story began during the writing of Lambert Trenoras thesis in robotics, with his thesis supervisor, a Doctor from the University of Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines and the president of the association Handipode. Today, the team enriches with an entrepreneur in innovation and two engineers specialised in real-time embedded systems.

4 questions to Gyrolift

Where did you get the idea for this startup?
In the beginning, the Gyrolift was my doctoral thesis subject (Lambert Trenoras), launched following a meeting between a manager at Enedis, the president of an association for mobility solutions, and a university professor. The idea was to adapt an innovative technology - in this case, the gyropod - for everyone, whether able-bodied or disabled.
Any recent good news?
We are undergoing rapid industrialisation and have just received our first orders from Enedis, which with the Gyrolift is looking to improve support for people with disabilities and get them back into work.
What is the most unexpected thing that your startup has made you do?
"I had the opportunity to use the Gyrolift in the courtyard and lounges of the Elysée during the National Disability Conference. I can therefore confirm that the Elysée is accessible by Gyrolift" Lambert Trenoras.
In what way does your project revolutionise your category?
We enable all kinds of users to move around both seated and standing, whether they are able-bodied, disabled or with reduced mobility. The Gyrolift will help to support people with reduced mobility, get them back to work, and open up jobs for them. The Gyrolift can also take some of the physical strain out of certain jobs for able-bodied people.
