Flood preparation | EDF France

This hydro-meteorological monitoring is the responsibility of its General Engineering Division (DTG), which has a staff of 600 and is headquartered in Grenoble. Preparing for floods to ensure safety of installations... To mitigate the consequences of flooding, installations are fitted with flood discharge systems to cope with extreme flow rates.

As part of the project to reconfigure the Poutès dam in the Allier river gorge and restore its ecological continuity, EDF has committed to work with local volunteers to build a five-year science monitoring programme of sediment and fish, and the adaptation of fauna and flora... The science monitoring programme will work a priori with the partners already associated, and in particular the universities of Clermont-Ferrand and Grenoble, Irstea, Onema, Logrami, the French wild salmon conservation organisation and the Haute-Loire fishing federation.

Flamanville EPR: optimised project management and a new timetable | EDF France

setting up of new ways of connecting EDF with its partners, to provide close leadership, coordination and monitoring of the project... 98 % of the building civil structure has been completed, as has 60 % of the electromechanical erection. In recent months, EDF and its partners have conducted a comprehensive review of the Flamanville EPR project and of the project organisation, with a view to improving construction site management until commissioning has been completed.
