Clarifications on Hinkley Point C project | EDF Asie

The milestone for the first nuclear safety concrete for the building of Unit 1, scheduled for mid 2019, is confirmed, assuming that the final design, which is on a tight schedule, is completed by the end of 2018. Project completion costs are now estimated at £ 19 6 billion in 2015 sterling1, an increase of £ 1 5 billion in 2015 sterling, compared to previous evaluations .

EDF also provides support for the CGN Group with operation of its entire fleet... Energy services: at the end of 2017, the Group was granted extension of its concession in the town of Sanmenxia (province of Henan), where EDF has been operating an optimised district heating network, based on recovery of heat from fossil-fuel power plants, in partnership with the Datang electricity company (35 %) since 2016 . After extension, the district heating network will supply 2 million square metres of town housing.

Welds in the main secondary system of the Flamanville EPR: EDF sets up corrective actions and adjusts schedule and target construction costs | EDF France

As of 25 July 2018, EDF has inspected 148 of the 150 welds in the main secondary system 1 of the Flamanville EPR and continued to exchange with the French Nuclear Safety Authority (ASN), as announced in previous press releases dated 10 April and 31 May 2018 2 . The two remaining welds will be inspected before the end of July 2018.

The batteries will be commissioned and energised by the end of March 2018 . The storage power capacity of these batteries is estimated at 1 2 MW with energy output of at least 6 MWh. In the first phase of the project, the Energy Storage System (ESS) will be installed and tested for 10 years, to integrate renewable energies and improve operating services .
