On November 9th, EDF and Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) signed a contract for assistance to the Contracting Authority relating to the construction of the first pumped storage-type hydroelectric power plant in the Persian Gulf, located in the mountainous enclave of Hatta, on the border between the United Arab Emirates and Oman.

EDF, IFC and the Republic of Cameroon sign final and binding agreements for the construction of the Nachtigal hydroelectric dam in Cameroon. | EDF France

On the 8th of November 2018, EDF, one of the world's leading electricity companies, IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, and the Republic of Cameroon signed final and binding agreements for the construction of the Nachtigal hydropower plant. The project entails the design and construction of a 420- MW hydropower project on the Sanaga river near the Nachtigal Falls, located 65 km to the north-east of Yaoundé, as well as the operation of this facility for a period of 35 years .

Flamanville EPR: EDF has adopted a scenario for upgrading the main secondary system penetration welds with robots and has adjusted the construction schedule and estimated cost accordingly(1) | EDF France

Based on this penetration weld repair strategy, the EDF Board of Directors approved continuation of the Flamanville EPR construction at a meeting held on the 8th of October 2019... The provisional schedule for implementation of the preferred penetration weld repair scenario, if the target for validation by the ASN is complied with, results in the date of fuel loading at the end 2022 and reassessment of the construction cost at 12 4 billion Euros (1) representing an increase of 1 5 billion Euros.
